Just in time for this momentous occasion Sophia has decided to give up napping twice a day. Fortunately she gave us fair warning, since she stopped taking her afternoon nap sometime last week. We've been scrambling to try and re-adjust her napping schedule so that she's not super-cranky in the afternoons.
I was a little worried about what I would do with her today, but things went surprisingly easy. Every time Elijah was occupied with some schoolwork I tried to play on the floor with her so she wasn't feeling too left out. After lunch she went down for her one and only nap and is still sleeping! All in all the day was a huge success. And here are the pictures...
First day of school pictures are a must!
Sophia had to join in.
And Mommy too!
Hard at work already!
Sophia was busy playing...
And making changes to our lesson plans.
One of his projects today was to make his own book, complete with pictures and story.
Sophia pretending to color, she'd rather eat the crayons!
His finished book, "Attack of the Monsters".
An excerpt. (He was fighting monsters on a mountain.)
Helping Mommy teach geography!

Ok, now make us feel better, and tell us how much help you gave him! Please?
Elijah, that is so good! Nana can't believe you can already make up your own story. I am very proud of you. (You must have a wonderful teacher!) Little Sophia looks so cute... I think she wants to be just like you.
Love you Sweetie. Thank you Cacey for the glimpse of his "first" day.
Love ya'll,
Nana
